This is my main Unix workstation. It came out in 1997, but it's Xbow architecture makes it a very powerfull computer.
This is a classic in Unix workstation, and demonstrate how Unix was design with both hardware and software in mind, and how it could make the best of each other.
This is at the opposite of PCs, where various pieces are put together, and an operating system get them working together.
This also explains why Unix hardware is considerably more expensive than PC. But you get extreme reliability. Some applications can not afford to crash in the middle of days of processing.
